Andrew Quick is a Senior Lecturer in Theatre Studies at Lancaster University where he is also the co-director of the Centre for the Advanced Study of Contemporary Performance Practice. He is co-editor of On Memory (Routledge, 2000), Time and Value (Blackwell, 1998) and Shattered Anatomies (Bristol Arnolfini, 1997). He has published numerous articles and chapters on contemporary performance, installation, photography and live art. His own practice is made with Arts Council England funded company, imitating the dog, which is based in Leeds, UK (www.imitatingthedog.co.uk). He has edited two publications on the company's work: Five Miles and Falling: a document by imitating the dog (2002 - produced as a CD-ROM) and Hotel Methuselah: a catalogue by imitating the dog (2006). He is currently completing two books: The Wooster Group Book, to be published by Routledge in January 2007 and The Event of Performance, which will also be published in the same year by Palgrave Macmillan.
