Miriam Sivan is originally from New York City and now lives in northern Israel. She teaches literature and writing at the University of Haifa. She has published scholarly articles on the American writers, Cynthia Ozick and James Baldwin and is working on a book about contemporary American fiction which deals with the Holocaust. She has also published numerous short stories about the intersection of love, marriage, and war and is completing a novel, Make it Concrete.
