Hearing Voices Seeing Things was a Serpentine Gallery Project consisting of an exhibition and publication exploring the relationship between Contemporary Art and Mental Health.

The research took the form of a three-year programme of projects and residencies with staff and service users of North East London Mental Health Trust, led by artists Bob & Roberta Smith and Jessica Voorsanger with Mel Brimfield and Sally O’Reilly, Karen Densham, Mandy Lee Jandrell, Andy Lawson and Victor Mount.

The project launched with a comedy event, What’s so funny?, hosted in collaboration with MIND.

An exhibition was open to the public at the Leytonstone Center of Contemporary Art at the Serpentine Gallery, London.

A fully-illustrated publication accompanies this project.
