The Rise and Rise of the Quinones brothers

Having already been screened on SKY TV (read more here), and following a successful run at the Portobello Film Festival (read more here), Jesse and Daniel Quinones' documentary - ‘Cage Fighter’ has now been selected for the International Student Film Festival in Hollywood.

Jesse and Daniel Quinones’ first documentary, ‘Cage Fighter’, tells the story of ‘Dynamite’ Dean Bray (pictured left) who dreams of stardom through this no-holds-barred mix of boxing, wrestling and martial arts.

The film focuses on the five-day lead up to Dynamite’s next fight. If he wins, his career will soar to new heights; if he loses, it could all be over. During these five days Dynamite runs, hits punching bags and there is sweat and tears. Viewers see just how much he has to pay to obtain his dream of stardom in the cage.

Jesse and Daniel, from the Audio Visual Production MA at JCAMD, had strong praise for the course:
"Prior to joining the AVP programme Daniel and I didn't have a great deal of training in film-making. But through this course, and the relationships we have developed both with the tutors and the students, we feel we have really learned a lot about making films. But most importantly, we were provided an environment which was both nurturing and supportive, and gave us the opportunity to discover our skills."
