Privatisation processes in the post-communist transformations of Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Albania.

Dr Liliana Pop has a grant from the British Academy to undertake a study of privatisation processes in the post-communist transformations of Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Albania.

The grant funds two months of fieldwork in these countries to carry out interviews with key policy-makers involved in market reforms and privatisation processes in particular. The findings will be presented in conference papers and two journal articles and it is hope that they will contribute to ongoing debates in the literatures on the (international) political economy of post-communist and post-conflict transformations and European Union enlargement.
