Both educational contents and educational practices can be viewed in a wide manner as elements of civic, political education and can be analysed in relation with a perspective of moral regulation. The curricula content and orientation, the pedagogic discourse and practices, but also the hidden curriculum, the whole organisation of the school life (extracurricular activities, school rituals, the student's communities) constitute basic means through which pupils and students become acquainted with political values and processes, become familiarised with the socially approved citizen characteristics and qualities, learn about civil rights and obligations and acquire a thorough knowledge on the country's national history, symbols and ideals.
